About EGIZ

  • Beteiligung an internationalen Kooperationsprojekten
  • Förderung der Interoperabilität auf internationaler Ebene
  • Belebung der Synergien mit der heimischen Wirtschaft

Research Profile

Above and beyond this core group, EGIZ can also rely on the competences of other research groups located at the IAIK as the need arises. The IAIK researches and works with around 50 scientific employees in different key areas of IT security such as:

  • Secure Entities for Smart Environments (Smartcards, RFID, SCA)
  • JAVA Security, PKI and Trusted Computing
  • Cryptography
  • Secure & Correct Systems (Trusted Computing, Formal Methods for Design and Verification)
  • eGovernment and electronic signatures

To the website of IAIK..

EGIZ is located in the premises of the Institute for Applied Information Processing and Communications Technology (IAIK) on the grounds of the Graz University of Technology (Inffeldgasse area):

  • Institute for Applied Information Processing and Communications Technology (IAIK)
    Inffeldgasse 16a, 8010 Graz

Directions by car

If you are coming by car, the best way to reach the area of the University of Technology is via the motorway exit Graz-Ost (A2). Then, after the Graz-Liebenau stadium, follow the course of Münzgrabenstrasse into the city (to the right from the motorway exit). You will find more details in the overview map. You can find a detailed city map of Graz online at: http://www.graz.at.

There is parking at the area. The entrance to the area of the University of Technology is blocked by a barrier. As a visitor, you can use the intercom to have it opened.

Directions by train

When you arrive at the Graz main train station, you will find the tram stop to the right after the main entrance. Please take a Line 6 tram (it bears the name "Schulzentrum St. Peter"). Tickets can be obtained in the tram. Take the tram to the last stop at Schulzentrum St. Peter (the trip takes around 20 minutes). Then, cross over the street (Petersgasse), go towards Inffeldgasse and pass by the barrier to the area of the Graz University of Technology. It is found at the Inffeldgasse entrance of the university campus.
